Drawing 577039 Revision C combines a profiled mounting plate, a stepped sensor tube, a thin displacement rod, a precision weld core, a flex rod head and four reinforcing gussets. Accurate machining and fixture-controlled welding are essential because the finished assembly must preserve tube alignment while allowing reliable movement of the slender sensing rod.
The Custom Stainless Steel Wobble Sensor Weldment is constructed from AISI 304 and AISI 316L stainless steel. AISI 304 is used for the main mounting plate, displacement-sensor tube, 1/8-inch rod and reinforcing gussets. The sensor weld core and flex rod head use AISI 316L stainless steel. The completed assembly has a raw stainless steel finish and is manufactured as an OEM weldment according to customer drawings.

The stepped tube passes through the mounting plate and supports the internal displacement rod. Any tube runout or angular error can interfere with rod movement and sensor response. JG controls turned diameters, bore alignment, plate location and final welded geometry so the Custom Stainless Steel Wobble Sensor Weldment maintains a stable sensing axis after assembly.
Four stainless steel gussets reinforce the tube-to-plate connection. The gussets must be positioned symmetrically around the central tube without obstructing the four plate slots or mounting holes. Dedicated fixtures establish tube perpendicularity and gusset spacing before welding. Balanced placement distributes load and helps prevent the mounting plate from warping.
The drawing specifies gas tungsten arc welding at the central tube connection and between the gussets. Thin stainless steel sections can distort when weld heat is concentrated in one area. The slender 1/8-inch displacement rod connects the machined sensor core to the flex rod head. The drawing identifies the rotational orientation of the head and core as non-critical, but axial position, bore condition and free movement remain important. Burr-free machining and careful handling prevent scoring, bending or binding of the rod during operation.

The AISI 304 mounting plate has a five-inch profiled outline, four mounting holes, a central tube opening and four gusset slots. Profile accuracy and hole position affect installation interchangeability. The plate is checked before and after welding to verify that heat input has not shifted the mounting pattern or introduced excessive distortion.
