CNC turning, precision boring, heat treatment and finish grinding are combined to control the outside diameter, internal bore, surface finish and end features.

This 17-4PH precision ground saw extension shaft is engineered for applications where wear resistance, dimensional stability and repeatable sliding or rotating fit are essential. The finished component is heat treated to 40-45 HRC and all burrs and sharp edges are removed before final inspection.

Engineering Value

The most demanding feature is the precision bore specified at 0.5636-0.5638 in, a total tolerance range of only 0.0002 in.
